Log Files

Due to the technical nature of the internet our web server collects and processes information about each file request and stores it in so called log files.

The collected information consists of your IP address, the path and name of the requested file including information from a possible query string, date and time of the request and the web server's status code.

Additionally, information is collected which is typically transfered by your browser: the name / specification of your browser, your operating system and a possible referrer URL (including information from a possible query string).

The information is used to:

  • properly handle web server requests
  • generate aggregate / annonymous usage statistics
  • protect the web server from malicious requests

Log files are deleted after seven days.
